sky blues

Right moving swiftly on. Here are some pics from a Saturday run at Gullane on the 23rd June. I was hoping the Common blues and Fritillaries would be out and about in the glorious weather. But just the blues. And lots of birds. But the sky over the beach was also filled with kites. A couple had brought loads of kites down and were making great use of the beach adn stiff breeze to tie them off then launch even more. They obviously knew what they were doing and I should have gone over for a chat to find out more but we were running and they were busy and so I just shouted thanks and that the sky was a marvelous backdrop for their creations.
