march madness

skipping like a bunny out the flat to find

the weather is pure shite

off to the park for jollies
(with a smile and a watery eye)


windy and cold

mmm this puddle tastes fantastic


even windier and colder


coach says this will be the starting point
(gentle) tarmac hill reps: 2 mins hard as you can up to the roundabout x 5


using fingers to count down 3....2.....1.....GO!

about here the tailwind kicks in and gives a tiny bit respite


then up onto the pavement and mark your highpoint
with a stone or scuff a line on the ground

make sure you go a little further each time, or die trying

Mary's heart rate in red (and so it should be)
with the gradient in shadow behind looking a lot like Arthur's Seat


5th rep hardest and furthest - very nearly puking


then as a special coach's treat you can have
"any salad in Sainsbury's" 😨😭


Doing intervals like this can seem like a chore but it defo makes 
you feel amazing (esp on such a grim day) afterwards as well as being good training
