normal service resumed

24th July
Back to Edinburgh and back to Saturday runs at Gullane. As we were looking for parking, driving about Goose Green we saw AGH and doggo so jumped out the car to say hello. Long overdue a run and catch up with Amanda so it was nice to say a brief hello before she went off for an appointment.

we stood beside someone else's flash motor to raise the tone

Then went for a run. Ahh the halcyon days of summer when even Saturdays were sunny. We ran East to the buddleias of Archerfields gatehouse where I obvs hoped to see all manner of lepidoptera. Seems we were reasonably successful, though no Holly Blues. Nice comma and lots of whites, small, gv and large.

Mary had a wee rest at the driftwood patio while I checked the privet for late DGFs but they had all moved on. A few coppers about. The sun shimmering off the sea was outstanding. Couple of speckleds posing in the sea buckthorn, then home for a shower. Ahh Summer!
