22-08-23 A masterful idea - a 5k and 5mile social run ending with a chip butty at Lorenzo's chippy - produced a glut of enthusiastic sign-ups for this inaugural Tuesday evening session. I believe it might have been Alan who came up with such an enticing formula which was instantly popular, as you can imagine. Then the weather was the brown sauce on the deal, with blue skies and warm temps for the run round Holyrood and back.
I turned up early and already a queue had formed!

I did a very poor job of recording the later and most important part of the evening. Just as we arrived back at the chip shop the weather deteriorated and light drizzle began to fall. I put the camera in my pocket when I should have been documenting the chips, the crucial part of the run and the motivation for such a large turn out. They were excellent! Again, due to the weather, most headed off fairly quickly. However it was generally agreed it was an splendid combination of exercise and reward and should happen more often. Big thanks to Lorenzo and Alan for organising!
